Grenewed is committed to providing you with an extensive warranty policy that ensures the operational quality of your device.
Grenewed Warranty Duration
At Grenewed, we provide a Grenewed Warrantyâ„¢ for all purchased devices. Please note that the duration of Grenewed Warrantyâ„¢ may vary depending on the country of purchase. This warranty starts from the date of your purchase. It covers any detected faults, and we will take care of the repairs.
What's Included in Our Warranty
Here's what's included in our warranty:
- Guaranteed Fast Repair: We start the warranty process within 24 hours of receiving your device.
- Replacement Device: If we can't restore your device to its previous condition, we'll replace it with a unit of the same model and aesthetic condition.
What's Not Covered
However, it's essential to understand what is not covered by the Grenewed Warrantyâ„¢:
- User-Caused Damage: If the fault is caused by actions resulting in a physically damage device, using the device not for its intended purpose, or other negligent actions, we don't cover the repair.
- Normal Wear and Tear: Regular wear of the device and battery are not part of the warranty.
- Screen Breakage or Cracking: Damage to the screen is not covered.
- Software Faults: Issues related to software are not included.
- Virus Removal: We don't cover removing viruses or malware from the device.
- Improper Use: Any damage resulting from improper or unusual use of the device is not covered.
- Opening the device: Physically opening the device yourself will void the warranty.
- Shipping Damage: If the device is damaged during shipping due to negligence, it's not covered. We therefore advise to properly pack your device when sending it.
- Altered Serial/IMEI: If the device's serial number or IMEI has been tampered with, the warranty will be voided.
- Indirect or Financial Damages: We don't cover indirect or purely financial damages resulting from device breakage, such as data loss.
- Specific Features Damage: If features such as the glass, home button, camera, or others are damaged due to improper use, the warranty is voided.
- Unauthorised Repairs: If you or a third party conduct repairs on the device, without Grenewed's prior written consent, the warranty will no longer remain valid.
- Water Damage: Any damage caused by exposure to water or bending the device is not covered. Be advised that all the devices Grenewed is selling are refurbished and have been through a comprehensive control process.
Ownership Changes
If you sell or gift your device within the warranty period, you must inform Grenewed regarding this change of ownership. Warranty extensions are not available after ownership changes have been made, and the warranty services can only be claimed by the original owner.
Additional Costs
Please be aware that Grenewed reserves the right to charge AED-25 (within UAE) & AED-100 (other countries) for delivery costs if the warranty is voided. We may also request photos of the device before you send it in for warranty repair.
Making it Right: The Process of Sending Your Defective Grenewed Device for Warranty
If you need to send your device for warranty repair, here's how to do it:
- Fill in the Warranty Form To get the process started, please complete the warranty form https://Grenewed.com/en/returns/. This will help us understand the issue concerning your device and assist you better.
- Back-Up Your Data Before sending your device for repair, make sure to backup all your files and data. This ensures your information remains safe during the repair.
- Careful PackingIt's your responsibility to pack your device carefully and protectively before sending it to Grenewed. Your packaging should reasonably prevent any damage that may occur during transit. Before sending the device to us we recommend the following:
- Check that your device has been fully switched off.
- Pack the device in a rigid package (eg. a cardboard box).
- Ensure that the device is well cushioned and cannot move freely inside the package.
- Make sure that the device cannot switch on inside the package.
- The outer package can not have any unnecessary markings, barcodes or labels. If you send your device in a reused box, please remove or hide any previous labels and markings.
- Due to shipping restrictions related to lithium batteries, please do not send the device if you have any reason to suspect the battery might be defective or faulty.
- Shipping Instructions Send your device to the specified address using the designated delivery service provider, as instructed. Remember, you're responsible for your device's safety until it reaches Grenewed.
- Special Handling If your device is marked as fragile and requires special handling during delivery, you may be responsible for additional delivery costs.
- International Shipments  If sending a device from outside the EU, you must cover the total shipping cost, including potential customs charges.
- Leave Out Accessories We advise against sending us any accessories, when returning your device for a warranty service. Grenewed can't guarantee the return of any accessories sent.
Repair Process
- If we find a fault on your device, our repair service will ensure the necessary repairs are taken care of. In cases where spare parts are difficult to obtain, are too expensive, or the device isn't worth fixing, we'll replace it with another unit of the same model and condition. The replacement device will match the aesthetic condition of the device you have sent us.
- Grenewed's warranty repairs can take around 10 business days from the day that your device arrives at our facilities. However, during public holidays or other unpredictable circumstances, repairs may take longer. The repair time depends on factors such as the quality of the device, spare part availability, the extent of the fault, and technical other considerations.
- If you need an official statement from Grenewed for your insurance provider regarding the repair, you will be charged a €40 fee for this service.
Please note that Grenewed's devices are not covered by Apple's limited warranty or any other AppleCare plans.
